The Vistadome train has two stations of departure to Machu Picchu:
Poroy (located 25 minutes away from Cusco) and Ollantaytambo (located 2 hours away from Cusco).
(in off-season January through April, we pick you up from Cusco to Ollantaytambo Train Station for the Vistadome Train)
The Vistadome train also offers air conditioning and heating, leather seats that adjust to the body to provide extra comfort and relaxation during the entire trip.
The Vistadome train has a different type of service, which allows the visitor to be immersed and feel the Andean culture through its landscapes, music, dance, and food, which is carefully prepared with local ingredients.

****** EXPEDITION TRAIN SERVICE *****
The Expedition train is designed for the traveler’s comfort, with four passenger seats located facing each other, so you can share your experience with each other. For those adventurous backpackers, the train offers racks placed above the seats. This train has panoramic windows, air conditioning, heating, snacks, and Andean music that creates a cheerful atmosphere.
The Expedition train departs from Ollantaytambo (located 2 hours away from Cusco). You will get picked up by our private van from Cusco to catch your train in Ollantaytambo. Upon returning from Aguas Calientes, you will take our private van back to Cusco and get dropped off at your hotel.
Our standard tours and treks include the EXPEDITION TRAIN, which DEPARTS from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Then, RETURNS to Ollantaytambo.
This is a travel experience with the qualities and benefits that Peru Rail offers at a lower cost for the traveler than the Vistadome train service.
